Our Team

Ciaran Mullin

Founder and Registered builder

I'm Ciaran, a qualified carpenter, registered builder, and the founder of Add Value Building Group. Originally from Ireland, I moved to Perth in 2011. Building is in my blood, my dad was a residential builder, and I’ve been tagging along on job sites since I could walk.

From as far back as I can remember, I always knew I wanted to run my own building company. In 2014, I started Add Value Building Group to create a business that prioritises honest communication, quality workmanship, and genuine care for the people we build for. My strength lies in clear, effective communication, having a can-do attitude and understanding that for many of our clients, this is the biggest investment of their lives, something I never take lightly.

Today, I live in Mount Hawthorn with my partner Dee, our daughter Ava, stepson Cooper, and Frank the dog. I love spending time with my family, since Ava has been born, I have been fortunate to have a good work life balance. To stay mentally and physically fit, I do CrossFit a few times a week and am currently working on improving my swimming.

Dale King

Registered Builder and Site Supervisor

Originally from the UK, Dale has spent 13 years in Western Australia, building a wealth of experience as a registered builder, supervisor, and bricklayer. Inspired by his father, a builder, Dale developed a passion for construction from an early age. After studying general building and specializing in bricklaying in the UK, he moved to Australia, gaining extensive experience across the residential sector.

Dale thrives on problem-solving, embracing challenges, and focusing on the finer details of projects. He takes pride in delivering top-quality outcomes for his clients. At Add Value Building Group, he values the close-knit, collaborative team and the opportunity to work on exceptional architectural projects. As a supervisor, he fosters an environment of open communication and encourages skilled trades to contribute their ideas for effective on-site solutions.

Outside of work, Dale is passionate about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, he plays soccer, enjoys golfing, and hits the gym multiple times a week for CrossFit. He’s dedicated to staying fit both physically and mentally. Dale also enjoys spending time with his wife, Debbie, and their pets, including their cats and horse, Logan.

Kris Caling

Project manager

Kris Caling has a background in civil engineering and holds a CAPM from the Project Management Institute, as well as a MPM from the University of Sydney. With a strong foundation in project delivery and construction management, Kris is a whizz at project management and project administration.

At Add Value Building Group, Kris values the team’s professionalism and the genuine commitment of its director, Ciaran, to helping homeowners and future homeowners build with confidence. Ciaran’s leadership and dedication to client satisfaction make AVBG a great place to grow and contribute.

She is passionate about delivering a smooth customer experience, underpinned by clear and transparent communication at every stage. Transparency, accountability, and collaboration are among the core values that guide her work.

Outside of construction, Kris loves to travel and once explored 10 countries in a single month with just a 7kg backpack, firmly proving she’s not a fan of excess baggage, on or off the job. Joyce Sedano

Joyce Sedano

Administration

Joyce brings over 17 years of experience in construction administration, supporting project teams and streamlining operations. Her understanding of the construction process and behind-the-scenes coordination makes her an integral part of the Add Value Building Group team.

She was drawn to AVBG’s vision of building homes that reflect each family’s lifestyle, values, and what matters most to them. Joyce is also inspired by the company’s ambition for broader impact and its commitment to meaningful, client-focused work.

In her role, Joyce ensures that the operations team is fully supported with all administrative needs, freeing them up to focus on execution and on-site delivery. Her strengths lie in organisation and anticipating the needs of both the team and clients to keep everything running smoothly.

Family is at the heart of everything Joyce does, and she values integrity, teamwork, and consistency in both life and work. During her time off, you’ll find her enjoying simple moments with her children and partner, whether relaxing at home or spending time outdoors together.

Frank

Office Manager / Security / Support Officer

Frank joined the team in 2021 and was originally hired because his coat perfectly matched our branding, a purely aesthetic decision, if we're honest. But it didn’t take long to discover he brought more than just good looks and impeccable markings to the role.

Within weeks, Frank was promoted to Support Animal, providing morale boosts, lunchtime entertainment, and the occasional cuddle. As his confidence grew, so did his responsibilities, stepping up as Security Guard, complete with a loud bark and zero tolerance for couriers, leaves blowing or anything that moves or breaths outside of the doors.

Today, Frank holds a dynamic, multi-skilled role, expertly balancing snoozing under desks with spontaneous ball-catching demonstrations.

He enjoys long naps, snacks, and short walks (preferably nowhere near a moving vehicle, he’s not a fan of the car). So, while you won’t find him out on site, he’s always available at HQ for a back scruff.
